Hey there stranger,
Just thought I would show some progress of a value study I am doing. I am really trying to get into this blogging thing. It is actually enjoyable. It is actually giving me more of a reason to work. I would be interested if you would comment and let me know what gives you motivation to work, cause it is really hard for me to find motivation.
Hope you like it. Comments are welcomed. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Nik,
ReplyDeleteI just met your best buddy from high school at my gym. After a great training session with Joe we sat down for a chat. He asked me what I did. I said I was an artist. He told me about you and gave me your blog address. I really appreciate your work! Is this floating astronaut piece an oil painting? What size is it? The lighting, the reflection in the helmet, the simple composition, bold use of positive and negative space....powerful. I would like to see one of your oils in about 5 stages. It would be fun to show my students.
I graduated from Ringling back when Fiore Custode was well....younger. I made my living as a full time professional fine artist for years. Now I do art for fun and last year accepted a teaching position at a high school. I love it too! It's the Art of teaching and surprisingly has helped me return to excitement about doing my own work. It's the process that is important. Staying in the moment, focused, no thinking, lose control, keep your hand moving. That's it. That's where it's at. Everything else doesn't matter. Stay with it my friend. That's where you fly. All the best. Laura Lorraine Beatty
